Denver Century Ride Water Station: 7 – 10 AM
Bike Jeffco earns some money towards our operating expenses every year by volunteering at the Denver Century Ride water station. This year, the water station is at the 24.5 mile mark and is located at the Green Mountain trailhead. If you like a fast and furious busy level as a volunteer, this is YOUR gig! Hundreds of cyclists arrive seemingly all at the same time. Our role is to keep their water supply stocked. It’s an opportunity to share a bit about what we do as well.
We need TWO volunteers for this activity. If you are interested in helping us out, please contact us at email@example.com.
National Public Lands Day Table: 9 – 2 PM
Jeffco Open Space is providing a GREAT opportunity to participate in a clean up of a 22 mile stretch of Clear Creek. There is a SEPARATE sign up to participate in that event. For the cleanup registration go to offero.jeffco.us to register. What we have been asked to do is to staff a table at the Gateway Trailhead of the Peak to Plains route where we can talk about cycling in Jefferson County and surrounding regions with any and all of the 800 volunteers they expect to attend their after party! This will be time to interface with many, many people and share safety information, route information in a single event. It’s an opportunity we would love to take advantage of – if we can get enough volunteers to help us. We had already agreed to staff the DCR water station prior to this request!
We need TWO volunteers for this activity per time slot! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
